Bridgestone Bicycle Co., Ltd. split from Bridgestone Tire Co., Ltd.
1951
Began mass production of bicycle using diecast frames.
1961
Development of ergonomic research for better efficiency begun.
1963
Became top share brand in bicycle business in Japan.
1964
Bridgestone Cycle Competitive Cycling Division established.
1973
Sport bike “Roadman” created.
1980
Bridgestone Bicycle U.S.A founded.
1985
Started making bikes for triathlon and road racing.
1986
Started making sports aluminum bonded model.
1988
Carbon sport bike in production / sales.
1991
The NEO-COT Frame developed with the optimum shape theory.

MTB team founded.

Racing Development Project started.

The professional Team Bridgestone Anchor formulated.
